Nomination Guidelines

All nominations must be submitted through this online form.

Nominated efforts should be projects or initiatives that were initiated, continued, or concluded within the last two years.

Submissions must not duplicate another’s work (derivative or inspired work is allowed, but the focus is on unique or novel applications—especially those new to legal or the nominee’s organization).

Supporting metrics and concrete data are required. Submissions must include measurable outcomes such as performance improvements, growth statistics, or other analytics. Nominations lacking data will not be considered.

Submissions including confidential data are accepted—all judges will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to ensure confidentiality.
You may submit nominations in multiple award categories, but each nomination must be submitted separately.
Unless otherwise specified, materials submitted may be published or promoted by LSSO.

William J. Flannery Sales Awards
Sales Executive of the Year – Direct Sales
Recognizes a professional who leads and is primarily responsible for direct client sales and business development.
Judging criteria: Increased client acquisition, revenue/margin growth, client retention, innovation in direct selling, and measurable impact.
Sales Executive of the Year – Management
Honors a professional who leads and manages a high-performing sales program or team.
Judging criteria: Team leadership, strategy development, measurable outcomes, mentoring, collaboration, and cultural advancement.
Sales Team of the Year
Celebrates outstanding collective achievement by a sales team in acquiring or growing key clients.
Judging criteria: Collaboration, client growth and retention, market or share expansion, and innovative approaches.
Sales Training & Coaching Program of the Year
Recognizes impactful sales education or coaching initiatives that drive measurable improvement.
Judging criteria: Training design, innovative teaching, program adoption, performance improvements, and mentorship.
Leonardo Inghilleri Service Excellence Awards
Firm of the Year
Honors organizations delivering exceptional client or stakeholder experiences through innovation and process excellence.
Judging criteria: Service culture, process improvements, measurable satisfaction or retention, and organizational values.
Experience Transformation of the Year
Recognizes a major project that improved the client, employee, or stakeholder experience.
Judging criteria: Transformation goals, measurable improvements, innovative solutions, and collaboration.
Legal Sales & Service Awards
Rising Star Award
Spotlights emerging professionals (≤15 years experience) for leadership potential and measurable impact.
Judging criteria: Demonstrated innovation, growth, client contributions, and commitment to development.
Intelligence in Action Award
Celebrates superior use of intelligence, data, or technology in sales/service strategy and results.
Judging criteria: Analytics or tech innovation, measurable ROI or growth, and strategic improvements.
Law Practice Improvement & Innovation Award
Honors bold, transformative innovations in legal service development, marketing, or delivery.
